DescriptionGlabrous, up to 70 cm tall; leaves 3—4 times ternate; leaflets round to obovate- cuneate, 3-lobed, the lobes coarsely dentate; inflorescence branched; peduncles more or less divaricate; filaments not dilated; carpels short-stipitated, ovate, with slender style about 2 mm long.

The Alaska-Yukon plant, which has shorter filaments and stigma than the southern plant, has been described as T. Breitungii Boiv.
