DescriptionDensely caespitose; leaves long-petiolated, ovate in outline, pinnate secondary lobes rare, pubescent to nearly glabrous; scapes up to 30 cm tall; flower buds short, ovate to almost globose; flowers large, yellow; capsule broadest at middle; stigma rays few, 4-5, forming an acute top.
EcologySandy, gravelly soil; in the mountains to over 2,100 meters. Total range unknown.
