Description | Glabrous; stems terete, from short rhizome; leaves thick with embedded veins; basal leaves with several stalked, rounded leaflets, soon withering, the upper pin- natisect, with linear divisions; petals white or rose, with darker veins, 2 to 3 times longer than sepals; mature siliques 3—4 cm long, with short style. | ||
Ecology | Wet places, along creeks, thickets, to at least 500 meters. C. pratensis described from Europe, subsp. angustifolia from Igloolik and other islands in the Arctic Sea. | ||
