Description | Rootstock stout; basal leaves shallowly 5-7-lobed, with adventitious buds in sinuses, the lobes irregularly crenate-dentate, hirsute with coarse, scattered, white hairs, or nearly glabrous, glandular in margin; stem hirsute with reduced leaves; calyx greenish-purple, strongly veined; the upper 3 calyx lobes longer than the 2 other lobes; petals 4, brown, linear-subulate, persistent; stamens 3; carpels 2. | ||
