DescriptionRootstock short; basal leaves ovate, elliptic, or deltoid-ovate; stem leafless or with leaf close to base; calyx lobes lanceolate-oblong, 3-5-nerved; petals elliptic- lanceolate, 3-nerved, as long as calyx lobes; staminodia a thin scale, entire or with mostly 5 gland-tipped segments.
EcologyWet meadows, thickets, along creeks, in the mountains to at least 2,000 meters. Described from Unalaska, Kotzebue Sound, and St. Lawrence Bay (Chukchi Peninsula).
