DescriptionShrub with erect, densely puberulent branches; leaves ovate-oblong to oblong- elliptic, glabrous or sparsely puberulent, paler below, sharply and remotely serrate; inflorescence paniculate; calyx lobes triangular, pubescent; petals obovate to orbicu- lar, pink to rose-colored; filaments of the same color; follicles shining.
EcologyBanks of streams, bogs. Described from the northwest coast of North America, at about the Columbia River.
