| Description | Densely tufted; flowering stems from much-branched caudex, covered with dark, reddish-brown, marcescent leaf bases; basal leaves small, green on both sides, ter- nate, sparsely pubescent and ciliate with long, soft hairs, to nearly glabrous above; leaflets broadly obovate, deeply cleft into blunt lobes; petioles white-pubescent with long, brown, adnate stipules, with ovate lobes; stem short-pubescent, with re- duced leaves; flowers 5-6 mm in diameter; bractlets obovate, somewhat shorter than the ovate-lanceolate to triangular calyx lobes; petals somewhat longer than calyx, yellow, obovate, somewhat emarginate; receptacle pubescent; nutlets gla- brous, with short, apical style. | ||
