| Description | Stems stout, from short branched caudex, densely covered with marcescent, dark- brown stipules; leaves 3-foliate; leaflets coriaceous, coarsely dentate, dark grayish- green and pubescent above, with greenish-white tomentum, strongly ribbed be- neath; flowers few, large, 2-3 cm in diameter; bractlets elliptic to ovate, about as long as the ovate-triangular calyx lobes or longer; petals yellow, broadly obcordate; style nearly apical, thick at base. | ||
