Description | Stem from long, thick, woody caudex; basal leaves short-petiolated, pinnate with 11-15 leaflets; leaflets with few teeth, glabrous or sparsely pubescent above, densely yellowish, long-pubescent beneath; stem with long, spreading hairs; flowers very large, up to 45 mm in diameter; bractlets linear-lanceolate, much shorter than calyx lobes, often numerous; petals yellow, ovate, abruptly clawed; anthers small; nutlets long-haired; styles about 2.5 mm long at maturity of fruit, with long, spreading hairs in lower part, glabrous at tip. | ||
