DescriptionMatted; leaves needlelike or flat, short and small, entire in margin or toothed only near base, rugose, dark green and mostly lustrous above [or white-canescent, f. canéscens (Simm.) Fern. (D. integrifolia var. canescens Simm.) ], densely white- tomentose beneath, with strongly revolute margin; scapes tomentose and often with long, dark glands; flowers solitary; calyx with long, dark glands; sepals narrow, acute; petals creamy white; styles elongating, plumose.
EcologyHeath on tundra and in the mountains, solifluction soil, to at least 1,300 meters. Described from Greenland.
