DescriptionPlant with taproot and branching caudex, covered with persistent straw-colored stipules; leaves 9-13-foliate; leaflets lanceolate to elliptic, sparingly pilose on both sides, or glabrous above; stipules broad, with elliptic, obtuse, free lobes, glabrous, pilose in apex, more or less ciliate; scapes white-pilose; racemes few-flowered; calyx black-pilose, with linear, acute teeth; petals bluish to purplish; pods short, thick, black-haired, erect.
EcologyAlpine heaths, to at least 1,500 meters.
