DescriptionStem floating in water or more or less prostrate, creeping on mud; lower leaves linear-lanceolate to linear, later developing upper leaves broadly spatulate to ovate, finally forming floating rosettes; fruit sessile, obovate, longer than broad, narrower toward base, wingless or narrowly winged at summit; styles erect, shorter than the ripe fruit, in age arcuate, reflexed, soon falling off.
