DescriptionGlabrous; stem erect; leaves alternate, oblong-ovate, cuneate at base, coarsely crenate-serrate, with 10-15 obtuse, mucronate teeth on each side; flowers both nor- mal and cleistogamous, bright yellow with small brown spots; lower sepal gradually tapering into slender, curving spur; fruit a capsule, which explodes at touch when ripe.
EcologyWet ground. Described from Europe and Canada.
