Description | Stem mostly simple, erect, originating from a winter bud, the remains of which persist as thick, broad, rounded, brown leaves at base, pubescent above with long, septate hairs; stem leaves glabrous, broad, ovate-lanceolate, acute, serrate, the lower short-petiolated, the upper sessile, often crowded and overlapping in inflorescence; flowers small; sepals ovate-lanceolate, pubescent; petals pink; seeds papillate. | ||
