DescriptionStem tall, stout, ribbed, from short caudex and fibrous root; young submerged leaves 2-3-pinnate; leaves of flowering plant pinnate, with 7-13 sessile, lanceolate to lance-oblong, sharply and densely serrate leaflets; involucre of 6-10 lanceolate bracts; umbels with up to 25 rays; fruit broadly elliptic to orbicular.
EcologyMarshes, shallow water. Described from “Carolina.”
UsesNot considered poisonous.
