DescriptionStem from stout taproot; leaves 2-3-pinnate, leaflets more or less lobed; petioles with sheath at base; umbel with numerous rays;. involucre with a few bracts or lack- ing bracts; involucels of narrow, scarious-margined bractlets; petals ovate with in- flexed apex, white; fruit oblong-oval, glabrous; dorsal ribs acute, corky; lateral ribs broader and thin-winged.
EcologyMeadows, sandy shores. Described (erroneously) from China; type probably originated from New York.
