DescriptionMatted dwarf shrub; young twigs finely puberulent, more or less glandular, gla- brescent in age; leaves needlelike, shiny, glabrous or sparsely glandular, with revo- lute margin; pedicels puberulent and glandular, brown; calyx lobes ovate, purplish- margined, finely ciliated with multicellular, short hairs; corolla open, bell-shaped, with recurved lobes, purple; filaments glabrous; ovary glandular.
EcologyMountainsides, up to 2,000 meters. Described from the northwest coast of North America.
