Description | Matted dwarf shrub with long, thin, prostrate branches; leaves opposite, ob- lanceolate, scarious-margined, concave above, rounded beneath, more or less brown- ish-pubescent at tip when young; pedicels glabrous; sepals ovate, erose; corolla bell-shaped, white. |
Ecology | Mountain slopes; common in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska Peninsula, and Kodiak Island. Described from Okhotsk, Kamchatka, and the Commander Islands. |
