DescriptionShrub up to 2 meters tall, with angled twigs; leaves ovate to oblong-ovate or el- liptic-obovate, mostly somewhat acute, 2-5 cm long, finely glandular, serrate-cre- nate to extreme tip; flowers single in axils; pedicels recurved in flower; flowers yellowish-pink; corolla ovoid to urceolate; berry globose, purple to bluish-black.
EcologyWoods. Described from the northwest coast of North America.
UsesThe berries are aromatic, and of a delicious flavor.
