DescriptionCaudex horizontal; leaves ovate to oval, obtuse, crenate-dentate, abruptly nar- rowed into petiole; bracts lanceolate to subulate, acuminate; calyx lobes lanceolate to deltoid, acute; corolla tube maroon, yellow above, the lobes magenta to lavender; filaments less than 1 mm long; anthers 4.5-6 mm long, lanceolate, acute, the con- nective of anthers black; capsule cylindric.
EcologyMeadows and heaths, in McKinley Park to 1,700 meters; absent in the lowlands.
