DescriptionLoosely tufted; base of stem covered with marcescent leaves; leaves narrowly oblanceolate to linear, densely strigose, especially beneath; racemes few-flowered; calyx lobes linear-lanceolate to oblong; flowers about 10 mm in diameter; corolla lobes intensely blue, broadly obovate to orbicular; scales yellow; tube broad, about as long as calyx, pale; style as long as body of nutlet; nutlet very finely tuberculate or granulate, with crown of jagged and hispid teeth about one-third as long as body.
EcologyRock crevices, to at least 2,000 meters.
