DescriptionStems from woody, branched base; leaves glabrous or nearly so, lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, sharply serrate, the lower petiolated, the upper sessile; inflores- cence mostly compact, sometimes open; calyx lobes lanceolate, acuminate, ciliate; corolla blue to purple, glabrous on both surfaces.
EcologyWet places. Described from the northwest coast of North America.
