Description | Stem pubescent at base, from short caudex with several thick fusiform roots: basal leaves long-petiolated, oblong, lanceolate, pinnate, the segments linear-lance- olate, sharply dentate; stem leaves in 1 or 2 whorls, often purplish, inflorescence capitate, the lowest whorl somewhat removed; calyx nearly glabrous, with tri- angular to linear, very acute, entire or somewhat dentate lobes, half as long as tube; corolla rose to violet; tube bent; galea lacking teeth, shorter than the broad, 3-lobed lower lip; 2 filaments pubescent; capsule ovate to oblong-ovate, with short beak. | ||
