DescriptionStems from thin, branching rhizome, the branch thicker in apex; basal leaves obovate, somewhat acute, crenate, nearly glabrous, the upper reduced; flowers large; calyx pubescent, with entire, ovate-lanceolate, broad segments, with small, acute appendages in sinuses; corolla blue, ciliated in margin, bearded within; stigma 3-lobed.
