| Description | Stem from thick, long rootstock, puberulent above; leaves numerous, crowded, broadly lanceolate-oblong, coarsely and sharply serrate, puberulent on nerves above, scabrous in margin; panicle dense, short, with erect, puberulent to scabrous branches, sometimes scarcely exceeding leaves; involucre 5-6(—10) mm high, not markedly imbricate, with greenish bracts. | ||
