DescriptionDensely caespitose or matted, with more or less woody branches; leaves linear, rigid, glabrous, scabrous in margin, crowded at ends of branches; flowering stems glandular, leafy below, monocephalous; involucral bracts subequal, acute, glandu- lar; rays yellow; achenes prismatic, appressed-villous; pappus profuse, tawny.
EcologyDry, rocky slopes, up to at least 1,000 meters in the mountains.
