DescriptionStems several, from branched caudex, curved or decumbent at base, hirtellous with short, spreading hairs; leaves hirtellous, the basal more or less 3-nerved, oblanceolate or spatulate, obtuse; stem leaves several, gradually reduced; heads solitary or few; involucral bracts white-pubescent; ligules white to pink or lavender; pappus double, tawny; achenes pubescent.
EcologyDry places in the lowlands; in the mountains to at least 1,300 meters. Described from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
