Taxonomy notes | Very similar to A. alpina (L.) Gaertn. (Gnaphalium alpinum L.) of Scandinavia; broken line on circumpolar map indicates range of A. alpina and the very closely related American A. alpina var. canéscens Lange (occurring rarely also in Europe). |
