DescriptionStem coarse, up to more than 2 meters tall, erect, simple or branched, scabrous- hispid; leaves broadly cordate-ovate to elliptic, long-petiolated; heads large, with orange-yellow rays and dark disk; involucral bracts broad, spreading, ciliate; paleae of receptacle 3-cleft.
EcologyEscaped from cultivation. Described from Peru and Mexico.
