DescriptionDensely pubescent with white, patent, shiny hairs; stems from woody, branching caudex, with rosettes of leaves forming small, dense tufts; basal leaves 3-lobed, with lanceolate, acute lobes; upper stem leaves simple, lanceolate; inflorescence capitate or spicate; involucral bracts elliptic, somewhat dentate, densely woolly; receptacle conical, glabrous; flowers yellow, glabrous.
