Description | Stems glabrous or pubescent, from horizontal rhizome; leaves linear, all entire, or the lowest 3-cleft at apex; panicle with elongate, ascending branches; heads main- ly small, on slender pedicels; involucral bracts broadly elliptical, scarious in margin. | ||
Ecology | Rocky slopes, roadsides. Probably introduced; native of the prairies. Introduced in many places in Europe. Described from “Siberia and Tataria.” |
