DescriptionStem from coarse rhizome, glandular and hairy, especially upward; leaves cauline in several pairs, sessile, lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate, irregularly serrate-dentate; heads mostly several; involucral bracts lanceolate, sharply acute or acuminate, hairy and sparsely stipitate-glandular at base, and with few short glands at tip; rays 10-20 mm long, pale yellow; pappus tawny; achenes sparsely hirsute.
EcologyMoist places. Described from “the rocks of the Wahlamet [the Willamette, prob- ably] at the falls.”
