Description | Stem fleshy, simple, more or less arachnoid-villous, from taproot; heads few, sessile; lower leaves lanceolate-linear, subentire to pinnatifid, with weak, yellow spines, light green and arachnoid-pubescent above, tomentose beneath; upper leaves linear, exceeding heads; involucrum glabrous; outer involucral bracts ovate, with weak spine, the inner elongate, spineless; flowers pale. | ||
