DescriptionStem filiform, corpressed, simple or slightly branched; leaves narrowly linear, lacking basal glands, 3-5-nerved with prominent midrib; peduncles slightly thick- ened upward, 3—10 mm long; spike subcapitate with 2-3 closely spaced whorls of two flowers each; fruit suborbicular, compressed, 2-2.5 mm long, with undulate or dentate dorsal keel and very short beak.
EcologyShallow water. Described from South Carolina.
