DescriptionRootstock oblique, covered with whitish leaf bases, and with several fleshy leaves at top; scapes thick, in Alaska up to 90 em tall, but usually much shorter; fruit ovoid, vith 6 carpels.
EcologyMeadows and brackish marshes, common along coast, but also on marshes and shores inland. Described from Europe.
