DescriptionRootstock short, bulblike, emitting filiform stolons with bulbs (rarely present on ierbarium specimens), which grow out to new plants the following year; leaves iliform; scapes thin and short in flowering state, longer in fruit; fruit narrow, with carpels (which separate from below upward when ripe), awl-pointed at base.
EcologyWet places around fresh or brackish water. Described from Europe.
