DescriptionAnnual, 20-50 cm tall; leaves 5-6 mm broad, bluish-green, with inflated re- trorsely scabrous upper sheath; glumes broadly wing-shaped, with broadly winged, smooth-margined keel; fertile lemma brownish, pubescent, lanceolate-acuminate; palea about 3 mm long.
EcologyAdventive or as weed, introduced so far only in few places. Described from Canary Islands.
