DescriptionPerennial, densely tufted culm up to 60 cm tall, basal leaves filiform, culm leaves flat, 1-1.5 mm broad; panicle long, narrow, with appressed, capillary branches; glumes equaling or slightly exceeding the florets; lemma smooth, shining, with a geniculate awn up to 4 mm long, and pilose base.
EcologyWet places. Found at inhabited places only, thus doubtless introduced into our area.
