DescriptionCulm stout, glabrous, from stoloniferous rhizome; leaves soft, flat; panicle large, oblong to pyramidal, more or less nodding, with essentially glabrous, capillary branches; glumes 3-nerved, acute, as long as lowest lemma; lemma densely long- pilose on keel and marginal nerves and between them at base, with tuft of cobweb hairs at base; anthers 2.5 mm long.
