DescriptionDensely tufted; culms erect, slender, up to 30 cm (rarely 45 cm) tall; ligules 1-2 mm long, obtuse leaves 1-2 mm w1de soft, flat, folded, glabrous or sparsely scabrous above; pamcle with few, slender, glabrous appressed branches, naked at base; spikelets 56 flowered, 7-8 mm long, first glume subobtuse, l-nerved the second ovate, obscurely ciliate, 3-nerved; lemmas elliptic, glabrous or with a few hairs at base; anthers 0.8-1.2 mm long.
