| Description | Culm 30-50 cm tall; leaves scabrous above; spike grayish-violet, erect, stiff, 6-10 cm long, 1-1.7 cm wide; glumes lanceolate, with narrow, scarious margin, 1-3- nerved, lanate; lemma with excurrent median nerve, densely pubescent. Similar to E. innovatus, but with broader glumes. | ||
