DescriptionCaespitose, grayish-green; culms scabrous above; leaves flat, about 2.5 mm broad; spikes more or less distant, subtended by stiff, short bracts; scales light-colored, with green central nerve shorter than perigynia; perigynia yellowish-green, ovate, slightly scabrous toward tip, with short beak.
EcologyBogs, swamps. Described from northern Europe.
