DescriptionSimilar to subsp. viride, but usually taller; lower stem leaves not so close to base of stem; bracts very prominent, the lower 2-6 times longer than the flowers.
EcologyWoods, meadows. Subsp. bracteatum described from Pennsylvania. Broken line on circumpolar map indicates range of subsp. viride (see above).
