DescriptionDwarf shrub, with thick central root and long subterranean, not rooting, branches; leaves ovate, with 4-6 pairs of nerves; rounded or somewhat cordate base and entire or somewhat obtusely denticulated margin, glabrous or sparsely long-pilose below; catkins few-flowered on leafy peduncles; capsules attenuated, sessile, with style 0.5 mm long.
