DescriptionProstrate shrub, with long, trailing, light-brown branches; leaves yellowish-green above, paler below, ovate to obovate-lanceolate, glabrous, entire in the margin; catkins on leafy peduncles; bracts small, light-colored to purplish, ciliated, shorter than, or as long as, the pedicels; capsules glabrous, greenish to purplish, with style about 0.5 mm long.
EcologyChiefly along the shore.
