DescriptionTree up to 15 meters tall; leaves dark green, ovate, rounded at base, coarsely double-serrate, with apex not markedly elongated; leaves glabrous above, somewhat pilose below, especially in angles of nerves; bracts with long median lobe, strongly ciliate; wings of nutlet broader than body.
Replaces B. papyrifera subsp. humilis in the Lynn Canal area and toward the southeast.
