DescriptionGlabrous, much branched annual; leaves thin, bright green, ovate, with rounded or subcordate base and triangular lobes; panicle loose, with leafless branches; calyx thin, with lanceolate to ovate segments; seeds black, lenticular, lustrous, 1.2-2 mm in diameter.
EcologyWaste places; weed at Dawson. C. hybridum described from Europe, subsp. giganthospermum from Canada, United States. Broken line on circumpolar map indicates range of subsp. hybridum.
