DescriptionDensely tufted, with stout taproot; stems several, straight, glabrous; basal leaves numerous, slightly ciliated, linear, with long petioles; stem leaves in pairs, connate at base; flowers single or in few-flowered cymes; calyx inflated, glabrous, with tri- angular, blunt or somewhat acute teeth; petals pale lilac, one and a half times as long as sepals; capsule ovate.
EcologyRocky and sandy slopes. Reported from “Arctic America.” Described from Siberia.
