DescriptionCaespitose, with short caudex; leaves white-setose on both sides, pinnate, the segments 2-5-lobed, mucronate; scapes bowlike, ascending, up to 15 cm tall, white- to brown-setose; flower buds with hght-colored hairs; petals white or rose, with yellow basal spot; capsule ovate to globose, with white to brown, stiff setae, tuber- culate at base; stigma with 5-6 rays.
EcologySandy, gravelly soil.
