DescriptionTufted, dwarf plant; leaves long-petiolated, ovate, entire or rarely with lateral tooth, rarely with some leaves pinnatifid (Cape Beaufort, var. pinnatifida Hult.); stem leafless; flowers small, white; siliques linear, upright, with short, thick style.
EcologyGravelly places below melting snow, along creeks in the mountains, to at least 2,000 meters. Described from the Alps of Lapland, Switzerland (and England, where it does not occur).
